This charming little cabin is a guest favourite. It sits on 5 forested acres and offers amazing privacy. You won't see another person unless you want to.

It has its own driveway in addition to an idyllic waterfront with deck, dock, canoe and paddle board.

The Acorn Cabin is partially off grid. There is hydro but no well or septic. There is easy access to water for kitchen use and an incredible, instagram worthy heated outdoor shower!

The lower level of the cabin offers a sweet double bedroom along with a sitting area,

kitchenette and screened-in porch. In addition there is also a small, simple and unique

composting washroom. Up a set of 'ladder' stairs is a spacious loft.

The Acorn Cabin has been offered on Airbnb for many years with consistent 5 star reviews. Our return guests tend to be trendy couples looking for a 'soft' adventure or solo adventurers looking

for a chance to reconnect with their surroundings.

When rented in conjunction with the lazy moose, there is sleeping for 7, but is more comfortable for 1-2 people on its own.

Cooking is easy with a BBQ, crockpot, microwave and inducion burner. Outside, guests enjoy a night around the firepit, and stargazing from the picnic table.

The waterfront is on a forested trail, approximately 300m from the cabin and down a set of stairs which wrap around Algonquinesque' rock. The path to the waterfront would be challenging for anyone who isn't sure footed.

The river and lake are great to explore by canoe, and there are many good hiking locations in the area. The Acorn Cabin is also the perfect spot to kick back and swing in a hammock.
